Niaz Mohamed Jr. and his family recently were recognized by the California FFA Association for their sponsorship of California's hospitality suite at this year's national FFA convention in Louisville, Ky.
The suite at the Louisville Convention Center was used by members and advisers from California's FFA chapters in attendance.
The convention, held in October, is an annual event that brings members from all over the United States and its protectorates such as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. FFA members competed in more than 20 contests including livestock judging, agronomy, public speaking and parliamentary procedures. National FFA officers were chosen and national proficiency winners were selected in a variety of areas for their accomplishments in supervised agriculture experience projects.
The Imperial section officer team presented Mohamed with the banner that hung at the entrance to the hospitality suite at the convention center.
"These FFA members from the local area wanted to express their sincere appreciation for all the support that Mr. Mohamed and his family have given, not only to local FFA chapters, but to all members of the FFA throughout the state," a press release states.
