Turning Point aksing for donations for bake sale

December 19, 2001

HOLTVILLE — Cooks and bakers are asked to bring their wares to Turning Point Cafe on Friday and Saturday for a benefit.

The money raised will go toward the purchase of an enclosed trailer to carry musical equipment for Turning Point, a ministry aimed at helping people with "life-controlling problems."

Candy, cakes, cookies and breads will be sold from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Turning Point Cafe parking lot. There will be some beautifully wrapped trays of cookies available for gifts, according to organizers.

Alexis Dewbre of Holtville, who is chairing the event, invites all those interested in the work of Turning Point ministry to participate in this bake sale.
