Survivors include her daughter, Graciela Flores Montejano of Holtville; son, Herman Garcia of Mexico; son-in-law, Antonio Montejano of Holtville; granddaughters, Paloma Flores of Las Vegas and Melissa and Sasha Montejano, both of Holtville; great-granddaughter, Jasmin Marie Montejano of Holtville; and niece, Martha Del Toro of Westmorland.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hems Bros. Mortuary in El Centro.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Calipatria for Fidelia "Lela" Bracamonte, 81, of Calipatria, who died Monday in her home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Calipatria. The Rev. Amador Lopez will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
Mrs. Bracamonte was born Nov. 18, 1920 in Pomona. She moved with her family to the Imperial Valley in 1929, settling in Calipatria. She attended schools in Pomona and Calipatria.
She married Julio Bracamonte in Calexico on May 12, 1946.
Mrs. Bracamonte was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a member of the Senior Citizens Club, both in Calipatria. She also volunteered for Imperial Valley Catholic Charities, according to family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio Bracamonte, on Sept. 15; sister, Florence Olague; and brother, Frank Solorio.
Survivors include her sons, Julio Bracamonte Jr. of Sacramento and Carlos Bracamonte of Calipatria; sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Rachel Bracamonte of Brawley and Richard and Cecilia Bracamonte of Fremont; daughters, Rosie Bracamonte of Lodi and Rebecca Bracamonte of Sunnyvale; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Gabriel Castro of Auberry; sisters, Lucy Aguinaga of Salinas and Evelyn Atondo of Vacaville; brothers, Ned Solorio of Calexico and Raymond Solorio of El Centro; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Eternal Valley Mortuary, 23287 N. Sierra Highway in Newhall, for David Ramos Villanueva, 73, of Acton, a former Imperial Valley resident who died Dec. 17 in Lancaster.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Eternal Valley Mortuary in Newhall.
Mr. Ramos Villanueva was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Miami, Ariz., and was raised in the Imperial Valley.
He was a Korean War veteran and a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Ramos Villanueva; sister, Ofelia Ramirez; and grandson, Robert Earl Pickering
Survivors include his wife, Maria Villanueva; children and spouses, Anna and Randy Ott, David Jr. and Joyce Villanueva, Stella and Earl Pickering, Melinda and Warren Huskey, Ricardo "Chato" and Cindy Villanueva and Stormy and Hector Carrillo; grandchildren, DeAnna Ott, Richard Scott, Natalie, Ricky, Jason, Alissa, Devin, Jessica, Debra and Elizabeth Villanueva and Santana Pickering; great-grandchildren, Asia, Alyssa and Kadasha; and three sisters and five brothers.
