Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Jesse A. Garcia III, 16, of Brawley, who died Tuesday in San Diego as the result of a gunshot wound.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley with Pastor Eddie Romero of Victory Outreach officiating.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.

Mr. Garcia was born April 27, 1985, in Brawley. He was raised in Brawley and attended local schools. At the time of death he was a sophomore at Brawley Union High School. He was on the junior varsity football team at Brawley High.

Mr. Garcia was an active member of Victory Outreach church and participated in its youth group.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard Estrada in 1980 and Minnie Estrada in 1983; and his paternal grandparents, Jesus P. and Paula Garcia.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Dinah and Gilbert Rodriguez of Brawley; father, Jesus Garcia of Brawley; sisters, Angelic Marie Garcia of San Bernardino and Ashley Garcia of Brawley; brother, Gilbert Mark Anthony Rodriguez of Brawley; sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Edgar Gutierrez, of Gridley; grandparents, Gilberto and Nellie Rodriguez of Brawley; great-grandmother, Antonia Herrera of Brawley; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

DALE WILLIAM BRADFORD

Private services will be held for Dale William Bradford, 68, of Palo Verde, who died Friday in Palo Verde.

Burial will be private.

Mr. Bradford was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Brawley.

He married Sara Jane on Jan. 1, 1956, in Yuma.

Mr. Bradford lived in the Imperial Valley off and on for many years. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for 45 years.

Mr. Bradford was a loving and caring father, husband and grandfather, according to family. He was a lifetime member of the Elks. His favorite hobby was riding his all-terrain vehicle in the desert.

Survivors include his mother, Nell Augusta of San Diego; sons, Danny W. Bradford, Dennie R. Bradford and Douglas J. Bradford, all of San Diego, Donnie L. Bradford of Palo Verde and David A. Bradford of California; brother, Dallas Bradford, of San Diego; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

MARGARET CATHERINE LAU

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Margaret Catherine Lau, 84, of Brawley, who died Thursday in Pioneers Memorial Hospital. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Services and burial will be in Eldersburg, Md.

Mrs. Lau was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Baltimore.

Mrs. Lau was raised in Maryland. She lived most of her life in the Eldersburg and Westminister areas of Maryland. She was a homemaker for more than 60 years. She moved to Brawley to be near her family due to ill health about eight years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gunther, in 1976.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Harry Casey of Brawley; son, Gary Gunther of Union Bridge, Md.; grandchildren, Donald Ruch of Carlsbad, Marc Ruch of Seattle and Erik Gunther and Greg Gunther of Maryland; and great-granddaughter, Amanda Olson of Rohnert Park.
