CALEXICO — A magnitude-3.0 quake rumbled Saturday in northern Baja California,29 miles southeast of here.
The quake struck at 12:15 p.m.., the Southern California Seismic Network reported.
A Calexico police dispatcher said there were no calls about the quake.
On Dec. 8, a magnitude-5.2 temblor shook densely populated Mexicali — across the border from Calexico — but no one was hurt. Residents from California cities, including in San Diego, El Cajon and Chula Vista, also felt that quake.
It wasn't immediately known whether Saturday's quake and the quake earlier this month were related.
