Francisco Virgen was booked into the county jail with his bail set at $20,000.

El Centro police Lt. Tim Blankenship reported that a man went to the Golden West Motel at 1080 Adams Ave., where he reportedly confronted 48-year-old Santos Gaeta.

Virgen was later arrested by Calexico police, who turned him over to El Centro officers about 11 p.m.
