Softtails, Fatboys, Panheads and scores of other chromed-out mean machines will be on display Saturday at the first Hawgpen Magazine's "Thunder in the Desert" motorcycle show.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in and around Hawg Wild Motorcycle Shop, 297 S. Imperial Ave. in Imperial, bike contests, product vendors, food, drinks and music as well as a gift raffle will take place for those who wish to bring their bikes or just come see the sights.
Starting at 1 p.m., local bikers will compete in the best-looking, most chrome and ugliest bike contests. The raffle will start at 2.
Participating vendors will include motorcycle parts suppliers and manufacturers and T-shirt printers.
Local riders are encouraged to bring their bikes, and all street bikes are welcomed.
The event is sponsored by Escalera's Su Casa restaurant, Auto Electricians and Brawley Auto Body, all of Brawley, Hawg Wild of Imperial and Hawgpen Magazine of Brawley.
