My letter is in response to Benjamin Reyes of New York City, who felt that earning a place on the dean's list isn't newsworthy. Mr. Reyes may have two bachelor's degrees, but he is not very good at doing his research. If he had been thorough, he would have learned that Jennifer Otero is not the daughter of the district attorney.
Jennifer is in fact my daughter, and the Press ran the article on Jennifer's accomplishment because I asked them to. You may not feel your accomplishments were newsworthy, but I feel my daughter's absolutely are.
I will ask to publish any of my children's accomplishments to the fullest and take great pride in the hard work they do and the exemplary human beings they are.
By the way, you just gave her a little more publicity. Thank you.
