February 04, 2002|STAFF REPORT

CALEXICO — Police here today were investigating a molestation reported to authorities Saturday.

No arrests had been made in the case as of this morning, but Calexico police Sgt. Jim Neujahr said authorities have physical evidence that indicates a molestation occurred.

The case was reported to police about 7 p.m. Saturday by the mother of an 8-year-old girl who told authorities the girl had been molested.

Police investigators trained for such cases and child protection workers responded to an apartment in the 1600 block of Rockwell Avenue.
