The novice team consisted of Mario Zoida, Connie Seidel, Ricky Ornelas, Carlton Smith, Steve Uhri, Jacob Jones, Erick Saldana and Ryan Claymon.

The contest is designed to test a member's knowledge of parliamentary procedures. There are three components to the contest. The first is a written test on parliamentary law. The second is a mock FFA meeting in which members are assigned certain motions they must use and debate upon. The third is oral questioning by judges to members of the team regarding the use of parliamentary procedures. After the mock trial and questioning, the president and secretary of each team are to review and present their minutes of the meeting for judging.
