Kids to visit showcase at the capital

February 05, 2002|STAFF REPORT

Students from two Imperial Valley schools, Mulberry and Calipatria High, will attend the California Student Technology Showcase on March 11 in Sacramento.

It will be the first opportunity for Valley students to attend the showcase as the showcase marks its second year in existence.

"Identified through a statewide selection process, students in grades four through 12 will present exemplary curriculum-integrated technology projects," states a press release.

"These projects may include, but are not limited to, Web, video, animation, probeware/database analysis, programming or presentation."

Projects last year were presented to an audience that included parents, teachers, administrators, higher education representatives, California Department of Education employees, California Technology Assistance Program members and legislators or their representatives.
