announces niche garden

Riverview Cemetery District announces available granite cremation niches.

The first stage of the niche garden was completed in December, offering the first above-ground cremation burial in the Imperial Valley.

The granite niche column houses 120 niches. Each niche will accommodate two cremation urns and includes a bronze name plate.

Riverview Cemetery has plans for further expansion, which includes six additional niche columns with a patio cover and a center garden area creating a tranquil atmosphere.

Health center welcomes new chiropractor

Clinic Director Jeff Callahan, D.C., announced the association of Jason Rezansoff to the staff of the Brawley facility.

Rezansoff hails from New Westminister, British Columbia, Canada, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.

He graduated from Los Angeles Chiropractic College in Whittier in 2000 with the Sigma Tau Delta academic honors.

Rezansoff, his wife, Tamara, and daughter, Ashlynn, come to Brawley from Running Springs.

VIB Corp. announces its shareholder's meeting

The board of directors of VIB Corp. (Nasdaq: VIBC) has announced the annual shareholder's meeting will be at 6 p.m. April 24 in the Crystal Room at Brunner's Inn & Suites, 215 N. Imperial Ave. in El Centro.

Shareholders of record as of March 1 will be eligible to vote to elect four directors to the board and whether to approve an increase in authorized common stock. In addition, management will review the 2001 financial performance and discuss the company's outlook for 2002.

On Jan. 18, VIB Corp. reported fourth-quarter net income grew to $2.6 million, or 20 cents per diluted share. Net income for 2001 increased 7 percent to $9.2 million, or 71 cents per diluted share. Total assets increased to $1.2 billion, net loans grew to $838 million and deposits were $885 million at Dec. 31.
