Voice: Ouzan would bring a fresh voice to Calexico council

February 15, 2002

Elections are almost here and it is important for me to know which candidate will be the best one to really make an effort to help Calexico.

There is a candidate in mind who is hard-working toward helping the city of Calexico. David Ouzan stands on the corner of Highway 98 with a poster and explains his vision for Calexico.

Mr. Ouzan came to our school and spoke to a group of us. His ideas are new and fresh. If only David Ouzan was to become a council member I know he would do good. His intelligence and brightness let us know that he is aware of the problems the community is facing. I know he cares for the community and helps many of our non-profit organizations.

David Ouzan has given his time when the "cameras" were not on him. It's time to elect new blood on the City Council, someone who's young and we the new generation can relate to.

Mr. Ouzan believes in this city. He supports more protection for its citizens, in the creation of new business and in after-school programs that will encourage my generation to better themselves physically, mentally and spiritually.

If you're looking for real change, a new direction, I invite you to vote for David Ouzan on March 5.
