A 41-year-old El Centro man was arrested Friday on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia following an Imperial Valley Street Interdiction Team investigation.
David Ray Jones was booked into the county jail with bail set at $11,500.
Authorities alleged Jones was in possession of the drugs with the purpose of selling them from his residence.
The SIT unit joined by the Imperial County Narcotic Task Force and the El Centro Police Department made the arrest at Jones' residence in the 400 block of East Orange Avenue at 7 a.m.
The SIT unit kept surveillance over Jones resident as part of an investigation that started after authorities received a citizen's complaint that Jones was allegedly selling drugs from his residence.
Street team agents investigated the complaint and obtained a search warrant. During the arrest agents used a flash-bang distraction device to disorient Jones, who was taken into custody without further incident.
