A 36-year-old El Centro man took almost the full brunt of a shotgun blast in a shooting Friday night, according to El Centro police.
The man was listed in stable condition Saturday night and is expected to fully recover, police said.
Two men suspected in the shooting were still at-large as of presstime Saturday.
Officers said the victim, a Hispanic man whose name was not available by presstime, was standing in front of his home in the 400 block of Orange Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday when two men walked toward him.
One of the men carried a shotgun, which he fired at the victim, according to a relative of the injured man who told police she witnessed the shooting.
After taking the emergency call from the distraught woman, police officers arrived at the scene but were unable to apprehend the two men suspected in the shooting.
