Adult scuba diving class

The El Centro Police Athletic League is accepting applications for the adult session of its open water scuba diving classes. Applications can be picked up at the Ryerson Youth Center. The course will be three consecutive weekends starting Saturday. Cost is $175. For more information call 337-4577.

Heber Kids Baseball League sign-ups

The Heber Kids Baseball League is accepting registrations for the 2002 season at the Heber Public Utility District for children ages 5 to 12 years old. Cost is $15 per child or $26 per family. Tryouts and final registration will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday at Huerta Park. For more information call 353-0353.

Calexico High pitching clinic

The Calexico High School baseball team and Cleveland Indian minor league pitching coach Ruben Niebla will host a pitching clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Calexico High baseball field. Registration will be from 8 to 9 a.m. and cost is $25 per participant. The camp is limited to 35 participants and a parent must attend to sign a waiver form. For more information call 357-1226.


Men's basketball league

Registration is being accepted for the 35 years old and older men's basketball league in Calexico, which begins this month. Cost is $760 per team. For more information call 768-7492.

Northend Babe Ruth League

Northend Babe Ruth League will hold its election of officers at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wiest Field press box. For more information call 348-2213 or 344-5939.

Seaview Little League sign-ups

Seaview Little League will have sign-ups from 9 a.m. to noon at the Niland SOS teen center and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Calipatria Carmichael Center on Saturday and March 3. Cost is $25 for the first child of a family and $20 for each additional child. Parents need to be present to sign paperwork and must bring a copy of the child's birth certificate.
