Last chance to register for March 5 primary

Today is the last day to register to vote for the March 5 primary election.

According to the California Secretary of State Web site, to register to vote, you must:

· be a United States citizen;

· be a resident of California;

· be at least 18 years old (or will be by March 5);

· not be in prison or on parole for conviction of a felony;

· not have been judged by a court to be mentally incompetent to register and vote.

Registration forms are available at local post offices, Department of Motor Vehicle offices and the Registrar of Voters office on the second floor of the County Administration Center, 940 W. Main St., El Centro.
