A dazzling evening awaits visitors for this year's fifth annual "Food Fest" on March 9 at El Centro Naval Air Facility.

The event, to be scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., will feature several local restaurants and markets offering their finest cuisine.

Besides being treated to great food and local cuisine, attendees will also experience several aerial demonstrations and pyrotechnics to light up the evening.

Those attending will have the opportunity to mingle with members of the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron, and several other Air Show performers.

The U.S. Navy band, Millennium, will entertain the audience with a variety of music selections.

Participating groups, restaurants and markets will include the Holtville Athletic Club, Sizzler's, Millie's, Mama's Place, Golden Corral, Smart & Final, Domino's Pizza, Max Foods, Papa John's Pizza, Albertson's, Brown Bag Cookies, Scribbles, Costco and Café on Main.

Those interested in a ride in the sky are encouraged to bring extra cash to bid in a silent auction for rides in stunt planes. There are height and weight restrictions for those wanting a chance to fly with one of the many world-renowned aerobatic performers.

All information on these restrictions will be available at the food fest.

Admission is $3 in advance at participating restaurants. The cost will be $5 at the door.
