Voice: Signal light needed, not bike run

February 22, 2002

It's me again, the person who complains about the signal light at Adams and La Brucherie. We need one so bad, but no one seems to be listening or really cares.

I see that the city wants to spend $1.4 million on a bike run What is wrong with this? Bike rides are more important than a simple request for a signal light that will cost nowhere near $1.4 million.

I thought our kids and anyone that travels on Adams and La Brucherie were more important. These people have no common sense on how or where to spend the money — seems to me they just want to waste it on foolishness. Our kids don't even have a sidewalk to walk on and only have one crosswalk.

What does a person have to do to get these people to listen to a simple request? We need a signal light — now — not a $1.4 million bike run.
