SETH RANGER KELLOGG

No services were conducted for Seth Ranger Kellogg, 83, of Clarkdale, Ariz., a former Imperial Valley resident who died Jan. 30 in Clarkdale.

Mr. Kellogg was born June 18, 1918, in Wichita, Kan. He resided in the Independence and Wichita areas before moving to the Imperial Valley during World War II.

He married Billie Rose Isbell on June 3, 1943, while stationed at what is now Naval Air Facility El Centro.

The Kelloggs resided in the Imperial Valley until the mid-1960s, when they relocated to North San Diego County. They moved to the Verde Valley area of Arizona in 1973.

Mr. Kellogg was employed as a Fuller Brush and Electrolux dealer. He retired in 1997.

He served on the Clarkdale school board and was a member of the Jerome Historical Society. He also did volunteer work with the Verde Valley Community Concert Association, according to family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Rose Kellogg, and grandson Kevin Magelssen.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Phil Falbo of Clarkdale; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Dawn Kellogg of Imperial; and grandsons, David Magelssen of Clarkdale and Robert Sean Kellogg of Point Loma.

THEODORA HOFBAUER

No services are planned for Theodora Hofbauer, 64, of El Centro, who died Jan. 31 in her home.

Mrs. Hofbauer was born April 28, 1937, in Puerto Rico.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed being around her family, according to her family.

Survivors include her husband, James Hofbauer of Calexico; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Valenzuela of El Centro; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rosalyn Hofbauer of Holtville; daughter, Lisa Beltin of Crestline; and six grandchildren.

ERIK RENE HURTADO

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in The Door Christian Fellowship in Brawley for Erik Rene Hurtado, 19, of North Hollywood, a former Calipatria resident who died Sunday in University of Los Angeles Medical Center.

A determination of the cause of death is pending investigation.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley. Pastor Albert Alvarado of The Door Christian Fellowship will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.

Mr. Hurtado was born Aug. 24, 1982, in Brawley. He was raised in Calipatria and moved with his family to North Hollywood four years ago.

Mr. Hurtado enjoyed being around his family and loved his nieces and nephews greatly, according to family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Hurtado, in 1988; grandmother Natividad Hurtado in 2001; several uncles and two cousins.

Survivors include his mother, Evangeline G. Hurtado of North Hollywood; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Patrick Gonzales of North Hollywood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry A. and Anissia Hurtado of Brawley and Javier G. and Norma Hurtado of North Hollywood; nieces and nephews, J.P., Javier Jr., Joseph A., Jazmin, Karina and Prisilla Hurtado and Patrina and Denisia Gonzales, all of North Hollywood, Raylene Tapiceria and Eddie and Issac Hurtado, all of Brawley; grandparents, Ben and Carrie Aglupos of Niland, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
