February 25, 2002|STAFF REPORT

An exhibit of abstract art will open at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Auditorium in Brawley, just before the George Winston piano concert at 7 p.m.

His work was part of a three-person exhibit at San Diego State University's Imperial Valley campus in Calexico in April 2001. In spring 2000, he received the Judge's Choice Award for Best of Show at the annual juried student art exhibit at Imperial Valley College.

He has participated in several expositions of Galeria Fronteriza, a binational border-fence project. Calexico Neighborhood House recently commissioned Quintero to do a mural in Calexico.

The public is invited to attend the exhibit. Admission is free.
