CALEXICO — This city is facing "significant exposure to litigation" according to the agenda for Thursday's City Council meeting.
After the public meeting the council will meet in closed session to hear the details of the threat from City Attorney Michael Rood.
As of Wednesday morning, City Hall staffers and City Council members said they were not aware of the exact nature of the potential litigation.
In addition to discussing the potential lawsuit, the City Council will evaluate in closed session City Manger Richard Inman's performance.
In open session, the council will discuss raising the salaries of the city's department heads, talk about the status of negotiations with developers looking to build a hotel and a restaurant near the Calexico 10 theater and then Mayor Victor Carrillo will appoint a new member to the Housing Authority board to replace John Romo.
