The "Vote No on B!" mailer of the week states: "When Wal-Mart built its store, it spent millions of dollars for sewers, streets, curbs, sidewalks and a traffic signal to make Calexico a better place to work, live and shop."
Actually, it was $2,515,714 and this is being paid back to Wal-Mart with 5 percent interest by the city of Calexico. As of July 1, 2000, the city still owes Wal-Mart $1,466,722.
So, Wal-Mart, let's get all the facts out!
