Spectrum celebrates 13 years in business

March 11, 2002|STAFF REPORT

Spectrum was founded in 1989 to meet the demands in Imperial Valley for a multidimensional advertising and marketing company.

The El Centro-based agency celebrated its 13th year in business last month.

Spectrum is a design, marketing, public relations and video production company.

The company now offers border liaison services, and digital video/audio production.

Spectrum's activities span from the development of the graphic design for the San Diego Chargers' season tickets to facilitating the inauguration of the San Ysidro wastewater treatment plant to producing music videos. Spectrum produced the first binational business magazine, The Border Business Journal with distribution in Imperial County-Mexicali, San Diego-Tijuana, Sacramento, Washington, D.C., and Mexico City.

Spectrum's owner, Rob Zimmer, reared in Imperial County, said, "We've stayed in business this long by determination and hard work. I believe in investing in my staff equally as much as I invest in technology. My staff are experts at what they do and always put our clients first. I'm very proud to have been able to build my business in this burgeoning region. With NAFTA and the Gateway to the Americas starting to come to fruition, we are in the midst of exciting times. I'm looking forward to the next 13 years."
