On Feb. 8, Centinela State Prison held a fund raiser for the Juarez family in Seeley.
The Frazier and Juarez families are grateful to Centinela State Prison Warden George Guirbino for authorizing the fund raiser that raised $823 that was presented to a member of the Juarez family on behalf of Centinela State Prison staff.
By holding this fund raiser Centinela State Prison Warden Guirbino and staff have shown that their hearts are with the community. The outpouring of concern and donations from the Valley communities has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated.
Two of the children, 2-year-old Joshua and 5-year-old Aaron, were released from the hospital and are now staying with family in Seeley. The children will need periodic care in San Diego. Nine-year-old Tommy is still recuperating and may be released soon. Rebecca Juarez's health is also improving and she will need to undergo rehabilitation in San Diego; she will hopefully soon join her children and family in Seeley.
