Thank You: Garcia gives thanks for primary win, talks of upcoming campaign

March 19, 2002

Dear friends:

Words can not express how grateful and appreciative I am for the tremendous support that I received from the community on Election Day — I am honored to have been selected as the Republican nominee for the 80th Assembly District.

Come November, the voters in our district will be given the choice to vote for two very different individuals. My campaign will focus on my goals, values and steadfast commitment to providing everyone with an opportunity to succeed.

As a businesswoman and community servant, I've learned the value of maintaining a strong economy — an environment where jobs are plentiful, business is booming and communities are financially sound.

My plan is to oppose new and higher taxes … help small businesses grow and create jobs … promote local agriculture … and guarantee water supplies.

As a mother with two children in public schools, I'll work hard to improve our schools — making sure we get our fair share of state funding to help raise academic standards, reduce class sizes and ensure our students learn the basic skills they'll need to succeed in life.

And, as the wife of a police officer, I'll stand by our public safety officers — ensuring they have both the resources and the strict laws they need to keep our schools and neighborhoods safe.

If you share these goals, I'd be honored to have your support and assistance with my campaign for state Assembly. Thank you. God bless.
