Commission hosting ‘Block Party'

March 22, 2002

BRAWLEY — The Brawley Economic Development Commission will host its "Taste of Culture Block Party" from 5 to 9 p.m. April 5 along the 500 and 600 blocks of Main Street.

It will be an evening with live entertainment, international food and fun for the entire family.

The "Taste of Culture Block Party" has the objective to fund Brawley Main Street revitalization efforts.

Simultaneously, opportunities are created for local non-profit organizations to achieve a higher community profile through concession sales and information booths.

Local downtown businesses will be staying open late for the festivities. Bring your favorite chair and enjoy the fun, food and entertainment.

Applications for the "Taste of Culture Block Party" are being accepted from non-profit organizations interested in participating with a food booth. Booth space is limited.
