B.P. to wait tables in Special Olympics fund raiser at Golden Corral in E.C.

U.S. Border Patrol agents will be waiting tables at Golden Corral Restaurant in El Centro Wednesday evening in an effort to raise funds for Special Olympics.

Border Patrol El Centro Sector Chief Kenneth Stitt and local Border Patrol agents will be at the restaurant from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and all their tips collected will go toward the Special Olympics.

In addition, Golden Corral will donate proceeds from each meal toward the cause, said El Centro police Lt. Tim Blankenship, director of the Imperial Valley Special Olympics.

The event is part of the Tip a Cop program created to raise funds for Special Olympics, a program that gives athletes with disabilities a chance to show off their skills.
