NORMA LIDIA FAJARDO

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Norma Lidia Fajardo, 41, of Calexico, who died of cancer Tuesday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico. The Rev. Edmundo Zarate will officiate.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mrs. Fajardo was born July 25, 1960, in Mexicali.

She was raised and attended schools in Calexico, and graduated from Calexico High School in 1979.

She worked as an office supervisor for Imperial County Behavioral Health Services for the past 13 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Rodriguez, in 1982; and sister, Rosalinda Rodriguez in 1976.

Survivors include her husband, Jose Alberto Fajardo of Calexico; mother, Lucia Rodriguez of Calexico; children, Michael and Juan Vargas and Elizabeth and Jose Alberto Fajardo Jr., all of Calexico; brothers, Jose Rodriguez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Emilio and Juan Rodriguez, both of Calexico, Hector and Emilio H. Rodriguez, both of Salinas; sisters, Teddy Maciel of El Centro and Sandra Rodriguez and Leonor Jimenez, both of Calexico; and granddaughter, Alyssa Eve Vargas of Calexico.

JOSE V. SANCHEZ

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in El Centro for Jose V. Sanchez, 22, of El Centro, who died of heart complications Monday at a family residence in Phoenix.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mr. Sanchez was born July 28, 1979, in Phoenix and came to the Imperial Valley at age 8.

He attended Harding Elementary School and Desert Oasis High School in El Centro.

Mr. Sanchez worked with his father, Ramon Sanchez, at El Centro Bicycle Shop for many years and had recently moved to Phoenix to work.

Survivors include his parents, Ramon and Maria Sanchez of El Centro; brother, Ramon Sanchez Jr. of Phoenix; sisters, Carmen Bejarano and Christy Sanchez, both of El Centro; paternal grandmother, Remedios Sanchez of El Centro; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

ANICETO ROJAS

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Aniceto Rojas, 89, of Calexico, who died Tuesday in his home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerardo Fernandez officiating.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mr. Rojas was born April 23, 1912, in the state of Michoacan, Mexico.

He came to the Imperial Valley in the early 1950s, settling in Calexico.

Mr. Rojas married Maria Jesus Galvez in Brawley on April 29, 1950. He worked as a sales clerk for Stockton Bargain Spot and did upholstery work.

After his retirement, Mr. Rojas was a faithful and dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico.

Survivors include his wife, Maria J. Rojas of Calexico; two brothers and two sisters, all living in Mexico, and numerous nieces and nephews in the Stockton, San Diego, and Imperial Valley areas and in Mexico.

LENORA E. GILBERT

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Lenora E. Gilbert, 77, of El Centro, who died Tuesday in El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro. The Rev. Bob Harding of the Church of Christ of El Centro will officiate.

Mrs. Gilbert was born June 1, 1924, in Marshall, Ark.

She came to the Imperial Valley in 1926, settling in Holtville. She also resided in Imperial and El Centro.

She married T.B. "Jim" Brown, who preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Arthur L. Gilbert, who preceded her in death in 1991.

Mrs. Gilbert was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ for many years until her illness, according to family.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Denny Brown in 1948 and Gerald Jerry Brown in 1976; and sister, Lamitia Henry in 1989.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dan Johnston of Imperial; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Benny Wade of Leicester, N.C.; sister, Mavis Mead of Garden Grove; brother, Kert Morris of Asheville, N.C.; aunt, Verona Still of Holtville; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

AGNES BAIER

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Imperial for Agnes Baier, a longtime Imperial Valley resident who died March 14 in Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley.

The Rev. Amador Lopez will officiate.

Burial will be private.

She married Robert Baier in New York, who preceded her in death in 1989.

The Baiers moved to the Imperial Valley in the 1950s, where they were active in American Legion activities.

Mrs. Baier enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and being with her many friends.

Survivors include her many friends.
