CALEXICO — Police investigators here have released a composite sketch of a man thought to have robbed a clinic here at gunpoint Friday morning.

Calexico police Lt. Jim Neujahr said a man entered El Centro Regional Medical Center's Valley Family Care Center, 2452 Rockwood Ave., about 8:23 a.m. and demanded money after he brandished a black pistol at the front desk attendant.

Another employee called 911 from a phone in the back of the clinic.

The robber was described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, around 180 pounds, between the ages of 20 and 30, with a dark complexion and brown or hazel eyes. He was wearing a dark-colored beanie, navy blue jacket and blue pants.

Neujahr said the composite sketch was put together from descriptions by three witnesses.

The robber fled west on foot toward Highway 111. The man is considered to be armed and dangerous.
