CALEXICO — Two people were killed in a traffic accident this morning on Highway 98 east of here after their compact vehicle collided head-on with a farm labor bus.
Few details were available as of presstime this morning.
What is known is at about 5:40 a.m. a small two-door vehicle with two occupants collided head-on with a farm labor bus full of field workers on Highway 98 about seven miles east of Highway 7, according to the Calexico Fire Department.
The two passengers in the small vehicle died at the scene. Their names were not available this morning.
No injuries were reported by any of the bus' passengers.
The accident is still under investigation by California Highway Patrol Investigators.
