Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Jack C. Musick, 84, of El Centro, who died Thursday in El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro. The Rev. Walter Colace of Christ Community Church of El Centro will officiate.

Mr. Musick was born March 5, 1918, in Oklahoma.

He married Ruby Lucille Smith in Reno, Nev., on Oct. 25, 1942.

The Musicks came to the Imperial Valley in 1947, settling in El Centro, where Mr. Musick owned and operated a building and general contractors business. He worked throughout the Imperial Valley.


He enjoyed reading the Bible and listening the Bible on tape, according to family.

Mr. Musick was preceded in death by his daughter, LaWanda Musick; son, Charles Musick; and wife, Ruby L. Musick, on Jan. 24.

Survivors include his son, Robert F. Musick of El Centro; daughter, Patsy Ann Hanson of Santa Cruz; nephew and spouse, Jerry and Wanita Musick of Bakersfield; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Gabriel Rodriguez, 76, of Brawley, who died Wednesday in El Centro. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico. The Rev. Barry Vinyard of Imperial Valley Catholic Chaplaincy will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnett County, Texas.

Mr. Rodriguez was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Brawley and lived in the Imperial Valley for numerous years.

He married Barbara Nell Osteen in Reno, Nev., in 1976.

Mr. Rodriguez resided in Marble Falls, Texas, for the past 11 years. He worked as a truck driver for Ralph Pipkin Trucking for about 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rodriguez of Marble Falls; daughter, Norma Rodriguez of Bullhead City, Ariz.; son, Gabriel Rodriguez Jr. of Calexico; stepson, Charles Lockhart of Marble Falls; stepdaughters, Paula Membrere of El Cajon, Belinda Phillips of Raleigh, N.C., Charlotte Thorton of Indio and Viola White of Palm Springs; brothers, Ralph Rodriguez of Modesto, David Rodriguez of San Antonio and Albert Rodriguez of Colorado; sisters, Delia Ortega of San Fernando and Ana Leon of California; 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Services will be private for Irmadean Catlin Mouser, 74, of El Centro, who died Thursday in her home.

Mrs. Mouser was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Riverside to Hubert and Vera Catlin. She was raised in Oxnard.

She married John Mouser on Nov. 5, 1948.

The Mousers enjoyed taking numerous trips and golfing. She was a member of the Del Rio Country Club lady golfers' association and Entre Nous Club.

Mrs. Mouser loved spending her summers in Mission Beach with her children and grandchildren, according to family.

Survivors include her husband, John Mouser Sr. of El Centro; sisters, Marlene Lowe of Ventura and Charlene Hall of Placentia; brother-in-law, Ray Mouser Jr. of El Centro; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Tammy Mouser and Mike and Deedra Mouser, all of El Centro; daughter and son-in-law, Veralynn Mouser-Noriega and Marcos Noriega of San Diego; stepdaughter, Becky Castillo of Huntington Beach; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 400 S. 8th St., El Centro, CA 92243.
