The Center for Family Solutions will honor 39 men and women for their efforts in the Imperial Valley to help others as the center celebrates its 25th anniversary with a dinner at the Barbara Worth Golf Resort near Holtville on April 19.
The event will start at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m.
Each year the center — previously known as Womanhaven — honors men and women who have contributed to the betterment of their community.
The honorees for this year have been selected by organizations, institutions, service clubs and individuals, "for their contributions to the improvement of life for those who live in our communities, and who have been excellent role models for our youth," according to a press release from the center.
Congressman Bob Filner, D-Chula Vista, will attend the 25th anniversary event for the non-profit group and will help honor the men and women along with Assemblyman David Kelley, who represents the Imperial Valley.
