An 18-year-old Camarillo man was helped by a bystander after he sustained major injuries during a vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
A press release from the California Highway patrol states Donal Garman suffered a broken clavicle and a cut to the head after his vehicle overturned on Interstate 8 on the Devil's Canyon bridge about 1:25 a.m.
Garman was taken to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment. Garman was wearing his seat belt when the accident occurred.
According to the press release, Garman was traveling west on I-8 on the bridge when his vehicle struck and bounced off the north bridge rail and rolled. Garman was trapped until a bystander helped him out of his vehicle.
