BRAWLEY — Police here arrested a 32-year-old Brawley woman after she ran another vehicle off the road with her vehicle and then fought with the minor driving that car.

Brawley police Lt. John Myers said Icela Rosio Gomez Haro was arrested about 9:12 a.m. Tuesday after she allegedly ran another vehicle off the road in the 1600 block of Main Street.

Myers said the driver of the other vehicle, a 16- or 17-year-old female minor, owed Gomez $800. Gomez wanted to confront the minor about her money.

After Gomez forced the minor off the road, she kicked her and a fight followed. Neither of the combatants sustained serious injuries.

Police arrested Gomez for running another vehicle off the road and child endangerment because she kicked the minor. Gomez was in the county jail today with no bail amount set.

In an unrelated incident, a 44-year-old Brawley man led police on a short vehicle pursuit apparently because he had a suspended driver's license.

Myers said police arrested Sergio Galardo about 12:50 a.m. on Rio Vista Avenue between B and C streets.

Myers said police were attempting to stop Galardo near Western Avenue for a minor traffic violation. Galardo apparently failed to stop because he had a suspended driver's license.

Galardo later bailed out of the vehicle but was quickly caught by police.

Information on Galardo's bail was not available as of presstime.
