Mexicali woman ejected from SUV during roll-over on Forrester Road

A 26-year-old Mexicali woman escaped serious injury after being ejected from a vehicle during a roll-over accident this morning on Forrester Road.

A press release from the California Highway Patrol states the woman, whose name was not available, was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected during a single-vehicle roll-over about 6:13 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, Sergio Bronson, 27, of Mexicali and an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, both of Mexicali. all suffered minor injuries in the accident. The driver and the youths were wearing seat belts.

According to the press release, Bronson was heading north on Forrester Road at a speed of about 55 mph when he allowed the SUV to drift onto the right shoulder and lost control.

The SUV overturned twice and came to rest on the east shoulder on its wheels. The woman suffered a large laceration to the right knee and several abrasions and bruises through her body.

All four people in the vehicle were taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley.
