CALEXICO — Brooklyn's Leroy "Dr. Dunk" Harper, Jo Von "Razzle Dazzle" Singleton of Los Angeles and all the Harlem Entertainers will be coming to Calexico on Tuesday to perform at a fund raiser for the Calexico Police Athletic League.

The game will start at 7 p.m. at Calexico High School's Varner Gym. The $6 tickets are available at the Calexico Police Department.

Traveling with the Entertainers will be a trio of basketballers who have played with the legendary Harlem Globetrotters: "Wizard" Washington, "Showboat" Brannor and "Bad News" Hardiman.

Washington was the understudy for original Globetrotters Marques Haynes and Goose Tatum, according to a press release.

Brannor played with Goose Tatum when the pair was traveling with a troupe called the "Road Kings."

Hardiman played for many years with the well-known Harlem Wizards before becoming an Entertainer. He is considered one of the original Wizards.

Washington started the Entertaners in 1964 and a revolving cast of characters has played with the group in the years since.

PAL Director David Sanchez said the Entertainers will face spirited competition from a team of Calexicans, including some inspectors from the U.S. Customs Service, police officers and city officials.

At halftime the audience will be entertained by local school kids, who will dance and sing.
