SBDC to host seminars Tuesday, Wednesday

Imperial Valley College Small Business Development Center has announced it will have two seminars this week.

The first is a "power point seminar" on Tuesday instructed by Melisa Vasquez, business instructor for Imperial Valley College and seminar facilitator for the SBDC.

"Learn how to prepare slide shows and present them with professional impact," a flyer states regarding the seminar's purpose.

"You will learn how to create handouts for the audience, create notes for yourself to aid in your presentation delivery, construct an interactive presentation that runs automatically and jazz up your presentation using animation, sound, graphic and other multimedia components. Attend this workshop and learn how to impress your audience using Microsoft Power Point."

The second seminar is "Selling in a Down Economy" on Wednesday instructed by Ron Schoors, seminar facilitator for the SBDC.

The seminar will help business owners develop techniques to continue to expand and sell products during a down economy, according to a flyer.


Both seminars are from 6-8 p.m. at 301 N. Imperial Ave., Suite B in El Centro.

Reservations are required and space is limited. Cost is $5.
