Imperial County Sheriff's Office coroner investigators are waiting for toxicology results from an autopsy conducted Saturday on the body of a 43-year-old woman found dead in her home Friday in order to determine her cause of death.

Sheriff's Coroner Investigator Deputy Gary Hayes said investigators performed an autopsy on Lina Marie Castro of El Centro but have not determined a cause of death. He said he will be waiting about a month for toxicology results to come back to help determine the cause of death.

A call came into a police dispatcher shortly after 1:30 a.m. Friday reporting the death of Castro in her home in the 1100 block of 17th Street in El Centro.

El Centro police could not be reached for comment regarding the case.
