Press experiencing problems with phone service

April 24, 2002|STAFF REPORT

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Imperial Valley Press has been with intermittent telephone service since Tuesday afternoon.

Vickie Cheatham, Press administrative assistant, said Pacific Bell has been investigating the problem since Tuesday.

"They still can't fix it," she said this morning around 9 a.m., adding phone company personnel have been dispatched to the newspaper.

People wishing to call certain newspaper personnel can dial the paper's general number, 337-3400, and then the individual's extension.

The telephone problem prevents newspaper staff from dialing outside numbers or receiving outside calls.
