‘Journey to Intimacy' seminar returns to First Assembly, El Centro

Tom Smith will return to the Imperial Valley this month for the "Journey to Intimacy 2" marriage seminar at First Assembly of God in El Centro.

The conference will be from 7 to 10 p.m. May 17 and 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. May 18.

Smith will speak in the 10:30 a.m. service May 19.

Smith conducted two "Journey to Intimacy 1" seminars at First Assembly last October and in April at Brawley First Assembly of God.

The upcoming conference is the second installment of the series and will have a total of four sessions.

Sessions one and two will be "Communication and Intimacy: You Can's Have One Without the Other" and "You Can Be Right and Still be Wrong."


The third and fourth sessions will be "The Three Voices of Relationship" and "Six Minutes That Will Change Your Prayer Life Forever."

Smith and his wife, Crystal, founded and served as pastors of "Family Matters" at Calvary Temple Worship Center in Modesto. They now travel full-time throughout the United States and Australia ministering to hundreds of couples on a weekly basis.

In 1994 the Smiths founded "Journey to Intimacy," which uses a practical and humorous approach in helping restore marriages.

Registration for the conference is $35 per couple and $30 per person. It includes attendance at the conference and a workbook for each couple.
