JOSE V. RANGEL
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in New Life Assembly in Calexico for Jose V. Rangel, 81, of Calexico, who died Saturday in his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in New Life Assembly in Calexico. Pastor Isai Quiñonez will officiate.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.
Mr. Rangel was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Pueblo Nuevo, Guanajuato, Mexico.
He started working for the Association of Braceros' agriculture program in El Centro in the 1940s. He also worked at Tamarack Feedyard in Calexico for a few years and for El Don farm company in Calexico for 30 years.
Mr. Rangel married Maria Jimenez in Brawley in 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Rangel of Calexico; daughters, Micaela Jimenez of San Diego and Lupe Bravo of Los Angeles; sons, Carlos Rangel of Mexicali, Pablo Rangel of Indio, Eddie Rangel of Calexico, Sergio and Meño Rangel, both of San Diego, Javier Rangel of Los Angeles and Joaquin Rangel of El Centro; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
