On April 19, during a recognition dinner at the Barbara Worth Golf Resort, which was hosted by the Center for Family Solutions, 40 community role models were honored as "Imperial Valley men and women of the year."
A very special lady was also honored: Ms. Barbara Krause. She has been a board member and a secretary for the past 25 years. She was recognized for her strength, inspiration and administrative abilities toward the accomplishments of the organization's goals.
For the past quarter century, the Center for Family Solutions has provided community and countywide service programs. They are designed to improve people's lives and at the same time promote a safe environment.
It is comforting to note that the board of directors are providing for and focus upon the people's needs. These services support and maintain the healing and preservation of the family structure. A few of these programs include but are not limited to: the WomanHaven shelter, The Garden Project, the Center Against Violence, outreach and peer counseling groups and mentor and children's programming that assists and support the guidance of children.
