ANGELA C. HOLGUIN

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Angela C. Holguin, 75, of Brawley, who died Friday in her home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Brawley. The Rev. Evergisto Bernaldez will officiate.

Burial will be private.

Mrs. Holguin was born Nov. 1, 1926, in Mexicali.

She married Frank Holguin in Yuma in 1949. The Holguins came to the Imperial Valley soon after their marriage.

She was primarily a homemaker.

Mrs. Holguin was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Holguin, in 1999, and son Frank Holguin Jr. in 1975.

Survivors include her daughters, Lupe Garcia of Norwalk, Olivia Burgos of Calexico, Alma Martinez of Bloomington, Carmina Mazquerda of Perris and Esther, Cecilia and Nancy Martinez, all of Fresno; sons, Rudy Holguin of Quail Valley and Abel Holguin of Riverside; sister, Maria Castillo of Mexicali; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

LILLIE McLAUGHLIN

No services are planned for Lillie McLaughlin, 99, of Brawley, who died Friday in Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley.

Burial will be private in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.

Mrs. McLaughlin was born Dec. 12, 1902, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and lived in the Imperial Valley since 1946.

She married Edward McLaughlin in Gallup, N.M., in 1931. She was a homemaker.

According to family, she was known for having quite a sense of humor. She loved her family and enjoyed spending her time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McLaughlin, on June 4, 1991.

Survivors include her daughter, Lillie Farrell of Brawley; grandchildren and spouses, Norma and Larry Kelly of Brawley and Charlie Farrell and Jan Blue of San Antonio; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
