WESTMORLAND — A 43-year-old Alamo man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of kidnapping, false imprisonment, resisting arrest and domestic violence.

Westmorland police Officer Eric Treviño said police arrested Jeffrey Lee Miller around 11:30 p.m. at the Circle K convenience store, 123 E. Main St. here.

Treviño said Miller and his girlfriend, also from Alamo, were heading home to Northern California from Mexico when they stopped for gas at the Circle K.

Witnesses told police the woman ran out of the sport-utility vehicle in which the couple was traveling, into the store and said she did not want to go back with Miller. Treviño said the two had been arguing before they arrived at the store.

Police said Miller went into the store and pulled the woman by her hair back into the vehicle. Police arrived shortly and arrested Miller.

Treviño said Miller was a bit combative while officers were attempting to arrest him but no one was injured.

Miller was in county jail this morning with bail set at $100,000.
