Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Hector E. Ezquerro, 75, of Brawley, who died Tuesday in Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley. Evening services will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley. Pastor Michael Neciuk of El Redentor Assembly of God of Brawley will officiate.

Mr. Ezquerro was born on July 6, 1926, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. He came to the Imperial Valley as a child and attended Valley schools.


He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Ezquerro was a businessman in Brawley and also worked as an electronics repairman, a skill he learned while in the military.

Since the 1970s, Mr. Ezquerro owned and operated the "Tops Cocktails" in Brawley.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 60 of Brawley.

Mr. Ezquerro was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar.

Survivors include his sons, Hector Ezquerro Jr. of Solano Beach and George Ezquerro of Los Angeles; brother and sister-in-law, Isaac and Gracie Ezquerro of Brawley; nephew, Greg Ezquerro of San Diego; and several grandchildren.
