BRAWLEY — A part of Main Street was sealed off to drivers Friday because of continuing rehabilitation work at railroad crossings throughout the Valley.
The closure, which affects Eighth to Ninth street, was coordinated by the California Department of Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad Co.
Reopening was scheduled for Monday, but problems with the rail have pushed it back to Thursday morning at the latest, according to a Union Pacific spokesman.
In the meantime, people driving east can turn north on Eighth Street, east on B Street, and then south on Ninth Street to get back onto Main. Drivers going west can turn north on Ninth Street, east on B Street, and then south on Eighth Street.
