FRANKIE OTHEL JORDAN

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro for Frankie Othel Jordan, 79, of El Centro, who died Monday in El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Elder Henry Green of Brawley Tabernacle will officiate.

Mrs. Jordan was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Schalls, Ark., and attended schools in Ashdown, Ark.

She met Benjamin Jordan in Nashville, Ark. They moved to El Centro in 1946. They married in Yuma in 1950.

Mrs. Jordan worked at various jobs, working 41 years before retiring.

Survivors include her nieces, Wanda Wilson of Wichita, Kan., and Viola Ward and Lee Edna Grantonz, both of San Diego; sister-in-law, Inez Williams of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

ARTHUR "TURY" YBARRA

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Arthur "Tury" Ybarra, 49, of El Centro, who died Friday in his home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heber. The Rev. Jaime Escobedo of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of El Centro will officiate.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mr. Ybarra was born Sept. 4, 1952, in El Centro and was raised in Calexico.

He attended schools in Calexico and graduated from Calexico High School.

After graduating, Mr. Ybarra was drafted into the U.S. Army.

He married Gloria Reyes in El Centro on July 24, 1987.

Mr. Ybarra worked for the Imperial Irrigation District for 23 years.

He enjoyed being with his family and music, according to family

Mr. Ybarra was preceded in death by his mother, Petra Ortiz; stepfather, Enrique Ortiz; and stepmother, Helen Ybarra.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Ybarra of El Centro;  father,  Arthur Ybarra of Anaheim;  daughter, Johanna Ybarra of Heber; brothers, Rene and Julian Ybarra, both of El Centro, Gabriel Ybarra of Las Vegas, Miguel Angel Ortiz of Imperial, Enrique Ortiz of Heber and Jose Ortiz of San Diego; sisters, Bertha Ortiz-Diaz of Calexico, Lorena Ortiz of San Diego, Angelica Ybarra-Concepcion of Anaheim and Lydia Mendoza of Mexicali; grandchildren, Graciela and Elizabeth Gerardo, both of Heber; and numerous nieces and nephews.

MARIA JESUS GONZALEZ

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Maria Jesus Gonzalez, 92, of Calexico, who died Monday in San Diego. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico. The Rev. David Sereno will officiate.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born Aug. 1, 1909, in Cosala, Sinaloa, Mexico, and came to the Imperial Valley in 1961, settling in Calexico.

She married Pedro Gonzalez. She had been living in San Ysidro since 2001.

Mrs. Gonzalez was a founding member of Club Los Amigos of the Calexico Neighborhood House.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Gonzalez, in 1975; son, Carlos Blanco; sister, Griselda Campos; and brothers, Francisco, Jose and Ramon Campos.

Survivors include her sons, Marcos Vinicio Orosco of Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, and Pedro and Jaime Gonzalez, both of El Centro; daughters, Ema Bastidas of Calexico and Rosa Guadalupe Valdez of San Ysidro; sisters, Maria Luz Meza of Mexicali and Socorro Meza of Guaymas; 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
