No services are planned for Leonard Charles Horne, 78, of El Centro, who died Sunday in his home.
Cremation is planned.
Mr. Horne was born March 5, 1924, in West Saticoy and moved to England as a young man.
While in England, Mr. Horne joined the Merchant Marines. He returned to the United States in 1947.
Mr. Horne worked in the culinary business for 20 years and then became self-employed, working in the construction business.
He married Ann Horne in 1962, who preceded him in death in 1989.
His second wife, Renee Horne, preceded him in death in July 2001.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandie and Chuck Benefield of El Centro; daughters, Ann Pritchard and Linda Cooper, both of Liverpool, England; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Danita and Ray Alvarado of Imperial; stepson, Timothy Allen of Brawley; sister, Murial Walton of Somerset, England; and numerous grandchildren.
