PHYLLIS N. RUBIDOUX

July 18, 1916 — March 11, 2005

A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Christian Church in El Centro for Phyllis N. Rubidoux, 88, of Holtville, who died Friday.

Services will be conducted by Mike Johnson of Turning Point Ministries. A private burial will follow.

Mrs. Rubidoux was born July 18, 1916, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She moved with her parents to Calexico in1932, where she met her husband, Raymond Rubidoux, who was the love of her life, according to family.

They were married in May 1936 and had celebrated 60 years of marriage before he died in 1998.

Mrs. Rubidoux and her husband moved from Calexico to Holtville, where they raised two children. She continued to live in Holtville until her death.

Mrs. Rubidoux was a homemaker and loved to read, sew, play cards and travel, according to family. She and her husband spent many summers traveling in their RV throughout California, Oregon, Washington and Canada.

She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Rubidoux was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Rubidoux, in 1998.

Mrs. Rubidoux is survived by her son, Richard G. Rubidoux of Santa Ana; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Price of El Centro; granddaughter and husband, Michelle and David Rogers of Paso Robles; grandson and wife, Michael and Cari Rubidoux of Salinas; great-grandchildren, Molly, Joshua and Zachary Rubidoux, all of Salinas; and her cousin, Bobby Clark of El Centro.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 400 S. 8th St., El Centro, CA 92243.
